My favorite verse and my inspiration everyday is definitely Proverbs 30:5; the verse emphasizes how if we just put our trust in Him, He watches over us and keeps us safe in His love. I love it.

Among the many things than can make me feel better on a bad day, the Bible definitely comes first. There are a myriad of verses that apply to our everyday lives, including guidance through weaknesses, struggles, and trials. Whether it is just simply feeling down or serious grieving, these verses are my go-to’s and never fail to make me feel better. Undoubtedly, the Bible provides comfort, and guidance to help during problematic times, no matter how big or how small. Although really almost the whole Bible can provide comfort to me, I picked out some personal favorites and specifics.

  1. Psalm 27:1 – “The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?”
  2. Psalm 91:4 – “He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.”
  3. Psalm 50:15 – “…and call on me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you will honor me.”
  4. Psalm 121:7 – “The Lord will keep you from all harm- he will watch over your life.”
  5. Psalm 32:7 – “You are my hiding place; you will protect me from trouble and surround me with songs of deliverance.”
  6. Psalm 9:9 – “The Lord is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble.”
  7. Psalm 34:18 – “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.”
  8. John 14:27 – “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.”
  9. John 16:33 – “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”
  10. Romans 8:28 – “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”
  11. Romans 8:18 – “I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us.”
  12. Romans 8:39 – “…neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
  13. Romans 5:3-4 – “Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope.”
  14. Proverbs 30:5 – “Every word of God is flawless; he is a shield to those who take refuge in him.”
  15. Proverbs 3:5-6 – “Trust in the lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.”
  16. 2 Thessalonians 3:16 – “Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times and in every way. The Lord be with all of you.”
  17. Ecclesiastes 7:14 – “When times are good, be happy; but when times are bad, consider this: God has made the one as well as the other. Therefore, no one can discover anything about their future.”
  18. Ecclesiastes 7:10 – “Do not say, ‘Why were the old days better than these?” For it is not wise to ask such questions.”
  19. Philippians 4:13 – “I can do all this through him who gives me strength.”
  20. Philippians 4:6-7 – “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
  21. Philippians 4:19 – “And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.”
  22. Isaiah 41:10 – “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”
  23. Isaiah 40:29-31 – “He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youth grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”
  24. 2 Corinthians 1:3-4 – “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.”
  25. Deuteronomy 31:8 – “The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.”
