Boys and Girls Teams Make Waves in Gainesville

The North Forsyth High School swimming Raiders had a double sweep (Boys and Girls) winning first place this past Saturday as they competed against 11 other teams. With underclassmen making their names in the pool, as Jack DalMolin (500Fr), Owen Wickman (100 Fly), Rachel Sullivan (200Fr), and Kelsey Robins (100 FR) qualifying for State at the Chestatee High School Meet at the Frances Meadows Aquatic Center in Gainesville. The boys 200 Medley Relay Noah Wagner (Senior), Gabe Brisuda (Sophomore), Owen Wickman (Freshman), Jack DalMolin (Freshman) and Girls 200 Medley Nicole Sullivan (Junior), Emily Carroll (Junior), Elly Wagner (Senior), Kelsey Robins (Sophomore) made cuts. Freshman Jack DalMolin has now qualified for states in seven events, 200 IM, 100 FR, 100 BR, 500 FR, 200 Medley Relay, 200 Fr Relay, and 400 Fr Relay. When Jack was asked how he is doing it, “Hard Work” was his response.  Coach Hunt was pleased with everyone’s performances especially the Boys 100 Individual Fly where we swept the points with Owen Wickman winning first, Gabe Brisuda second, Tommy Scheyer and Dylan Favini tied for third. Their next swim meet will be Wednesday at Riverside Military Academy in Gainesville.
