Robotics Team Continues to Win

The North Forsyth Robotics team won an Excellence Award during the Coastal VEX State Qualifier, which qualified the team for State and Nationals on January 11, 2014. The Award was given to the following team members: Senior Sydney Wright, Senior Brady Roose, and Senior Conner Wilson.

“We won the Excellence Award, which means that we were the best team overall, were ranked based on: how well we did, the qualifying rankings, the notebook, and sportsmanship,” Brady Roose said.

This was not the first time the Robotics Team has won something.

First place in Presentation and Interviews- the entire team

Sportsmanship Award- the entire team

  • November 16, 2013 North Forsyth High School VEX Competition

Community Award- JT Johnson, Andrew Gomez, Douglas Day, Matt Ray

Sportsmanship Award- Jordan Davis, Zack Byers, Paris Magallanes

  • December 7, 2013 First Lego League with the Coal Mountain Elementary School

First Place for Team Work- Entire team

  •  December 14, 2013 Forsyth Central High School Vex Competition

Tournament Champions, which qualified the team for State and US VEX Open

The team is now figuring out whether they go to Nationals or to State.
