This school year is quickly coming to an end. As the lengthy break approaches, we may find ourselves indulging in all the wrong treats. For those who are wishing to find delicious, yet healthy, desserts, we found the perfect treat for you. And no, this does not involve any sugar.

A tremendous amount of people are striving to get that “perfect summer bod,” and the tempting sweets that surround us do not help. Unlike fatty foods that contribute to stress over self image, this DIY ice cream is equally as delicious as most treats, and most importantly, it is nutritious.  Consisting of only four ingredients it is healthy and easy to make.

 

Ingredients You Will Need: (For One Serving)

  • ½ cup of sliced frozen strawberries
  • 1 frozen banana cut into 1-inch slices
  • 5 tbsp whipping cream
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract

 

Instructions:

  1. Freeze the strawberries and bananas. (Preferably overnight)

 

  1. Add the fruit into a blender and blend until smooth.

 

  1. Add whipping cream and vanilla and blend again.

 

  1. Pour contents from the blender into a container and freeze until the consistency is of ice cream.

 

  1. Enjoy!
