Are you stuck in Georgia with your family while all of your friends are spending their break exploring beaches or on road trips? Here’s a list of fun, affordable and memorable activities you could do with family or friends this Fall Break!

  1. Visit the Blue Ridge Mountains! Blue Ridge is an incredible place to hike, camp out on the campgrounds located around the mountains, and visit a multitude of unique restaurants! Some of Blue Ridge’s most popular family restaurants are:

-The Black Sheep

-Blue Ridge Brewery

-Chester Brunnenmeyer’s Bar & Grill

-Toccoa Riverside Grill

The Blue Ridge Mountains are about a 3 Hour Drive from NFHS, so I recommend this visit to anyone in a travelling mood!

  1. Go to an Apple Orchard!: My family and I visit an Apple Orchard every single September. Our favorite is “B.J Reece Apple House” which is located in Ellijay, GA. This orchard is an incredible trip and great for family bonding. It also includes a petting zoo for all ages and an on-site bakery for you and your family’s enjoyment. The car ride is only an hour and a half, so grab your family or some friends and head out for some fun!

  1. Go big, Go Six Flags over Georgia!: This amusement park is one like no other, and if you’re looking for some big fun this Fall Break, I extremely recommend you visit Six Flags. Throughout autumn, the amusement park tickets decrease to $45.99 per each adult, and $35.99 per child, however the park is only open on Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays. My family and I absolutely love Six Flags, and our favorite rides are Superman and Goliath. Six Flags is a short drive from NFHS, so if your weekends are free this Fall Break, go big and visit Six Flags!

  1. Visit the Atlanta Aquarium!: Spend one of your free days in one of the most interesting and captivating exhibits in all of Georgia. The Atlanta Aquarium is open on all week days and weekends, and it is only an hour drive from NFHS. The Aquarium is fun for all ages and all types of people will enjoy this attraction. If you have some adventurous, animal-loving friends, head over to the Atlanta Aquarium and enjoy a day in the city!

  1. Start a new hobby!
