The 21st season of Dancing with the Stars premiered on September 14th on ABC. It featured an all-star cast, much like its previous seasons.
First on the list is Tamar Braxton, R&B singer-songwriter. She is partnered with Valentin Chmerskovski. Gary Busey, a popular actor, is next; he is paired with Anna Trebunskya. Gary is known for movies like Lethal Weapon (1987), Predator 2 (1990), and Bounty Killer (2013). Backstreet Boys singer, Nick Carter, is dancing with Sharna Burgess.
The most talked about participant, Paula Deen, is matched with Louis van Amstel. Victor Espinoza, the famous jockey that recently won the Triple Crown on American Pharaoh, is paired with Karina Smirnoff. Andy Grammer, singer of the popular song Honey, I’m Good, is dancing with Allison Holker. Hayes Grier, the youngest star this season and popular YouTube star, is with Emma Slater.
Bindi Irwin, wildlife expert and daughter of the famous “Crocodile Hunter” Steve Irwin, is dancing with Derek Hough. Chaka Khan, popular singer-songwriter whose career spanned four decades, dances this season with Keo Motsepe. Alexa PenaVega, actress known for many of the Spy Kids movies, the LifeTime original movie The Pregnancy Project, and the movie Spare Parts, released January 2015, is dancing with Mark Ballas. Alexa’s husband, Carlos, who starred in the Nickelodeon series Big Time Rush and sings for said band, is dancing with Witney Carson.
Alek Skarlatos, one of the dedicated members of the National Guard known for halting the terrorist attack on the train in Paris whilst on leave, dances with Lindsay Arnold. Finally, Kim Zolciack Biermann, known for The Real Housewives of Atlanta, is paired with Toni Dovolani.
In the first episode, Bindi Irwin topped the leaderboard. In the second episode, that aired September 21, Bindi placed first again, and Chaka Khan was the first elimination of the season.
