Halloween is quickly approaching, and, if you are anything like me, you probably haven’t bought a costume yet. Picking out a costume can be very stressful, so, hopefully, this article can help you and your friends decide on the best last-minute costume.

1. Among Us (Tech Times)

It seems like everyone is playing “Among Us” right now. A fun idea would be to dress up as your favorite colored astronaut or button in the game. You can also include the little helmets and jumpsuits if you desire. You can recreate the characters from this popular video game by simply matching a t-shirt with a top hat, crown, or some other accessory. It doesn’t have to be elaborate.

2. Tacky Tourists (Pinterest)

If you attended the Hawaiian themed football game earlier this year, you most likely already have what you need to look like the perfect tacky tourist. If you did not attend the game, check your dad’s closet and you might find an old Hawaiian button-down shirt.

3. Tim Burton Movie Characters (Costume Works)

If you and your friends are huge Tim Burton fans, you could all dress up and go out as your favorite movie characters. From “The Nightmare Before Christmas” and “Corpse Bride” to “Beetlejuice” and “Edward Scissorhands,” the movie options are endless. 

4. Harley Quinn’s Squad from “Birds of Prey” (Fashionista)

In February of this year, DC Comics released the movie version of “Birds of Prey.” You and your girlfriends could dress up as Harley Quinn and her girl boss posse. Not only is this idea super cute but it also promotes female empowerment.

5. Popular Apps (@taylor_hill)

Most teenagers are constantly on their phones throughout the day, so why not dress up as the app taking up most of your screen time? Even though this idea is simple, it is still relevant. You can dress up as apps such as TikTok, Spotify, Instagram and Snapchat.

6. Onesies (Bravo TV)

Onesies are a cute and comfortable way to dress up for Halloween. Onesies can be worn year-round: on pajama day, at sleepovers or just for fun. You can buy them at Walmart, Target or on Amazon. 

7. Slasher Movie Killers (Pinterest)

Are you and your friend’s horror movie fanatics? If so, dressing up as your favorite slasher film killers could be a great idea. Each member of your group could be a different murderer. Jason Voorhees, Freddy Krueger, Michael Myers, Ghostface and Leatherface would be an excellent combination.

8. Scooby Doo’s Mystery Gang (Pinterest)

Up for a mystery? If you and your peers are big Scooby-Doo fans, dressing up as the Mystery Gang would be a good idea. Not only is it a throwback to your childhood, but it is also trendy. The newest Scooby-Doo movie was recently released in July of this year, so this costume idea is perfect for Halloween.

9. The Addams Family (Glassdoor)

Are you and your friends “creepy, kooky, spooky and ooky?” Dressing up as the Addams Family would be a terrific idea if you all love the movie series. You could make the outfits straightforward or intricate.

10. Kiss (Pinterest)

Maybe you and your friends are into classic rock instead of modern pop. Show that off this Halloween! Dressing up as the Kiss band members would be simple and fun! All you have to do is go out and buy a rock n’ roll inspired outfit with some face paint.

If you still have no idea what you want to wear with your friends, sitting on your couch sharing Kit Kats, Snickers and Reese’s with a movie on is just as much of a bonding experience as dressing up and going out with your peers!
