October’s Car of the Month is perfect for this spooky season as the terrifyingly beautiful 2021 Dodge Challenger prowls North Forsyth High School’s parking lots with its sharp looks.
Owned by junior Brandon Martin, the 2021 Dodge Challenger is known for its classic, wide, older body style while still keeping up with the fast-paced horsepower of newer cars by utilizing a V6 engine, which sets the Challenger’s maximum power to 303 horsepower.
The older wide-body style is what made Martin absolutely fall head over heels for the Challenger; fittingly enough, Martin and his father purchased it on Valentine’s Day in 2025. However, as we approach Halloween, the sharpness of his Challenger surely catches attention with its menacing style.
Martin’s Challenger is a rare car as it is in the color Frostbite Blue, which Dodge custom-ordered for the 2021 line of Challengers and Durangos. Challengers were also recently discontinued as Dodge pursued the production of Chargers instead. Although this may trouble Martin in finding spare parts, it also adds to the increasing rarity.
Another feature Martin adores is the sound of his Challenger. He says, “I like being able to hear my engine and that my car is actually really loud for a V6, I like being able to hear the speed”. Challengers’ engine roar sounds so lovely due to the exhaust system design, which in turn provides a deep rumble and roar similar to the classics of American muscle cars.
The 2021 Challenger is one of the closest comparisons anyone can get to an older muscle car, as it provides spirit and soul combined with modern comfort. The bold presence is hard to disregard, as Martin’s car truly turns heads while bringing some love to the North Forsyth parking lots. It is definitely a lovely sight compared to the everyday car.
