It has been 250 years since the United States won its freedom. Since then, we have had 45 different presidents. All of them in their own way have brought upon remarkable changes and developments for the country. But, which one of them would our students rank the most attractive?
Personally, I think the top five hottest presidents are:
- Barack Obama
- John Fitzergerald Kennedy
- Ronald Reagan
- Abraham Lincoln
- George W. Bush
It’s unfair for me to rank the top five hottest presidents and not include my list of top five not hottest presidents. So, I ranked my top five nottest presidents, with number one being the most nottest:
- Richard Nixon
- James Monroe
- Lyndon B. Johnson
- Andrew Jackson
- James Buchannan
However, my opinion does not account for the rest of North Forsyth High School. So after interviewing various random students and providing them with both of my lists, asked them to vote for the hottest and nottest president from the respective list.

- Obama

- Bush, tied with Theodore Roosevelt
Most not hottest to least not hottest:
- Jackson
- Nixon
- Monroe
- Buchanan
- Johnson
Students obviously have firm opinions on who were the hottest and not hottest presidents of our country. After showing the student-voted ranks, there were some interesting reactions:
Sophomore Addison Knowles believes that all the presidents are unattractive; she “definitely agrees with the top hottest,” but when it comes to the nottest, they’re all on the same level.
Sophomore Nathan Thomson remarked it “seems like it was more of a joke list of anything” if JFK was voted second hottest after Barack Obama.
Hamsika Gudardi, who is a freshman, is shocked by seeing JFK voted second, claiming he is “definitely the hottest president.” She also thought Lyndon B. Johnson is the top nottest president.
Even though our school has different opinions on who might be the hottest or nottest president it’s important for all of us to recognize the greatness of each president. Some have made greater impacts and will be mentioned in history books whereas others will not. Nonetheless presidents hold great duty to serve and protect our nation as much as we hold responsibility for our betterment.
