Chastity (A Virgin and a Unicorn) Oil Painting
I had forgotten
That they could not see us.
At first I thought it was an awful thing
We are beautiful creatures, we are, really
And they hadn’t gotten to experience our beauty
So I watched them,
And seen how they treated their own.
Oh, awful! Just how awful it was!
Those ravages across those young backs
And those tears filling guileless eyes!
It was agony to watch,
And even worse when they were told they were loved!
Oh, how could they, those wretched beings?!
Those things I had seen
I was glad they could not see us,
For if they could,
How would they handle us, when they treat their own young so awfully?
