No matter what I do
Someone will have something
to say about it
Could be positive
But most of the time
it’s negative
It could be the books I read
The way I walk
How I dress myself
People make comments to my face
As well as behind my back
Criticizing my every move
Why do we feel the need to comment
My mother always told me,
“If you don’t have something nice to say,
don’t say anything at all.”
