Kaylyn Thomas Makes Her Mark

North Forsyth’s free relay team: Elly Wagner, Kelsey Robins, Kaylyn Thomas, and Emily Carroll.

On November 9th, gathered a total of fifteen swim teams, each hoping to come out as number one. With so much competition in the air, it would be easy for someone to get nervous, have a panic attack, and completely demolish his or her chances of landing first place. However, this was not the case for Raider athlete, Kaylyn Thomas. She is one of the four captains of the North Forsyth High School swim team, leading the girls into first place and still managing to succeed in races herself. Due to her calm, cool, and collected nature, Thomas qualified for state in the 200 Freestyle, the 100 Freestyle, the 200 Freestyle relay, the 200 Medley relay, and the 50 Freestyle. As a result of her qualifications, Thomas will be attending the state meet this coming February.
