After North Forsyth’s Student Council organized the Prom Fashion Show themed “Puttin’ on the Ritz”, many students were excited for the release of the 2020 prom theme. As students arrived at North Forsyth High School, they were greeted with posters and hallway signs that showcased the prom theme “Nuit D’Amour” on March 2.

“Nuit D’Amour” is a french phrase that means “Night of Love.” Paris, France is known as the city of love; therefore, everything will revolve around love and Paris. Junior Emerson Earley who created the prom theme states that the venue will display decorations and foods that are associated with France from “macarons and cream puffs” to “the Eiffel Tower.”

Since the release of the theme, prom has been set on April 25 from 7:30-10:30 p.m. at the Ramsey Center in Gainesville, GA. Tickets will be priced at $70 per person. The prom committee is excited to decorate and prepare for prom. Emerson Earley states that she “envisioned [Paris] as one of the most beautiful locations in the world” and that the student body would love “the atmosphere here at prom, as if we were really in Paris, for such a special night.”

Due to current circumstances with COVID-19, the prom committee has decided to move the date of the event for the safety of the students to May 22 in hopes to still continue to have prom as planned.
