The Midterm Schedule and What to Expect
As the end of the first semester draws to a close, midterm and final exams quickly approach. In preparation for these exams, students get ready by trying to time manage by studying for exams that may come before others, or exams that take priority. North Forsyth High School has released the official midterm and final exam schedule allowing students the opportunity to plan ahead.
Exams start on Thursday, Dec. 16, and continue until Dec. 21. North students’ first period exam will take place on Dec. 16. They will arrive at their first period class and take the exam from 8:25 a.m. to 10:05 a.m. After the exam, students will attend a normal odd block day with third, fifth and seventh periods. Dismissal will be the usual 3:40 p.m.
The remaining exams on Dec. 17, 20 and 21 will follow the same schedule with two exams on each day and dismissal on the early release time of 12:55 p.m. Friday, Dec. 17 will be students’ second and third period exams with the first exam ending at 10:05 a.m. Students will report to Raider Time between 10:10-11:10 a.m. The third period exam will start at 11:15 a.m. and end at 12:55 p.m. The following days will follow the same schedule with fourth and fifth exams on Monday, Dec. 20, and sixth and seventh period exams on Dec. 21. Lunch on these days will be ‘grab and go.’
With notice ahead of time, students can begin preparing for the exams beginning these next few weeks. Students can attend Raider Times of subjects they feel they need the most assistance in or should have the most priority over. Students can also talk to their teachers about any other resources that could help prepare them for their exams. Students can also discuss subjects with peers in study halls and study groups in preparation for exams.
