The musical is based on the book by Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice. The music is by Andrew Lippa and is based on the characters created by Charles Addams.

There has been a large amount of preparation for this musical. “We’ve been rehearsing since early December,” says Martin. They also have been hand-making props for this musical, and have different costume types for every character. Along with making props and costumes, they have live music playing during the musical.

Martin is most looking forward to “people seeing the incredible dancing.” She also likes “seeing [her] students grow and seeing everybody grow into their confidence” she admires that “each show they do everybody seems to get better and better.” Martin states.

Tyler Tracy, who plays Conquistador, has been preparing by “reviewing [his] music and making sure [he] knows the correct lyrics and notes.” Kate Isaac, who plays Ballerina Ancestor also “prepped and practiced choreography and music.”

Isaac likes the musical because she is “getting to dance and have fun with [her] friends.” Tyler likes how “everyone in the cast, including ensemble members, has a fully realized character” he also appreciates that “ each character can bring their own style to each scene.” Tyler and Kate are proud of “how far the entire cast has come throughout the year,” Isaac states.

Tyler hopes the musical and cast “does well at the Shuler Awards.” Isaac and Tracy hope “the musical is entertaining for everyone and the cast gets to have a great time.” Isaac Emphasizes.

In the future, Martin is excited about “Pride and Prejudice in April and Newsies Jr. in May.”
