The Georgia Country Music Fest has been one of the anticipated events of the year, according to the fans with Marietta being the destination for the event, it was destined for success in its inaugural year. The event started on Friday, Sept. 1 and ran through Sunday, Sept. 3.
The event included performances from some of the top country artists in the country: Cody Jinks, Koe Wetzel and Ashley McBryde. It also featured some songwriters and artists on the rise as they look to make a name for themselves.
On Friday, the concert kicked off with performances from Koe Wetzel, Logan Pressley and Mary Kate Farmer in the late hours of the event. During the performances, fans were able to have access to a huge variety of food and drinks while they were listening to the live music.
On Saturday, the performances carried on with songs from Wyatt Flores early in the afternoon, along with Cole Goodwin. Then at 8:30 p.m. the biggest names started with Ashley McBryde and Andrew Dixon the main headline of the concert, Cody Jinks performed for an hour and thirty minutes which was triple the amount of time that any other artist performed.
Finally, on Sunday, Grant Boles started off in the afternoon and later, Ben Chapman.To close out the night they had performances from Jamey Johnson and the famous band the Turnpike Troubadours who played songs from their newly released album “A Cat in the Rain.”
This being the 1st year of Georgia’s Country Music Fest, it drew a large crowd, including people from surrounding states like Alabama, Tennessee and North and South Carolina. It was a major success for the 1st year and the fans cannot wait until next year’s Country Music Fest.
