The annual Cumming Country Fair & Festival at the Cumming Fairgrounds has officially arrived. From now until Oct. 15 you can experience the fair here in the city of Cumming at the fairgrounds.
Beginning in 1995, the fair has been a staple in the city of Cumming each year. It began initially as a five day event, until being held for 11 days every Oct. as it still is today. Typically the fair brings in anywhere from 175,000 to 210,000 people each year.
For select days of the week at the fair there are admission specials or ride specials. The upcoming final week of the fair includes free admission from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. for all ages on Saturday, and all active, military veterans, and law enforcement have free admission as well. Also on Sunday, students 18 and under get in free from 12:30 p.m. until 2 p.m. with a school coupon.
On the other hand for ride admissions, on Friday unlimited rides are available for $25 per person, while unlimited ride offers are available on Saturday and Sunday for $30. Aside from the thrilling rides, rodeos and concerts are hosted in the outdoor arena located inside the fairgrounds, on select days only. In addition, there are numerous food and drink trailers. On top of that there are several daily attractions such as: a haunted house, petting zoo, human cannonball show with David Smith, and a chainsaw carving show with Brian Ruth.
