Now, after 4 years of high school, the time has come to graduate. To be honest I never would have thought that the time would come for me to write a senior farewell article, but every good thing must come to an end. Journalism has taught me so much that I had not known before taking this class. I knew that writing was something I was very passionate about at 15, but I did not know certain things about writing or the forms of writing. Being in journalism from sophomore year to now has shown me the type of writer I want to be. After graduation, I intend to go to college for Journalism. Ms. Ewing was an amazing teacher; thank you for allowing me but the rest of the class to express themselves as individuals and as writers.
I am so grateful that this class taught me how to express myself in poems and learn to decipher the different forms of journalism. This class has benefited me in many ways during my high school career and I can not wait to take all that I learned here to college and out into the world. High school really does go by and alongside high school adolescence goes by also. I always knew that adolescence and my high school years would go by, but I never acknowledged how fast it would happen. A piece of advice I would give to an under-classman is to remember moments in high school ; the friends around you can determine what high school is like so choose them wisely. My last two years of high school weren’t all that great, but I will always remember the moments that made me who I am today and the strengths I formed that I will carry with me.
