The end of the year means that many events and holidays are around the corner. November will be a short month for North students because of Thanksgiving break. Students will be working harder with midterms coming up in just a couple of weeks. But what is going to happen before all of that? Here is what North has on the calendar this month:
At the beginning of the month, North Forsyth had their last football game of the season; however, that means that basketball is just about to begin. They have games on Nov. 16, 23 and 30. Alongside basketball having games this month, swim and dive is starting their season as well with a meet coming up on Nov. 16 and 23. Come out to the games and support your fellow Raiders.
Besides sports, the student council is hosting a movie night on Nov. 15 on the field. There will be free coffee and hot chocolate for students to enjoy. This will be the first-ever movie night that North has hosted. All grades are invited; all they need is a blanket and some friends to make the night special. This could be an amazing time for seniors to enjoy one of their last times on the football field.
Speaking of seniors, this month is “Apply to College Month”. This means that students can apply to college without having to worry about the application fees being in the way. So apply to as many colleges as you want because after this month all fees will be back with nothing lower than $40.
In just two and a half weeks it will be Thanksgiving break, a time for people to truly think about who they are thankful for. So this month, students should have fun with their family and friends. The holidays are coming faster than one may think.
