The 21st Annual Christmas Arts and Crafts Festival by Forsyth County was held at Lanier Tech in Cumming, GA on Nov. 9 – 10. The festival is one of the largest indoor arts and crafts festivals held in Forsyth County. Being hosted for 21 years now, it’s become a beloved tradition, attracting tourists from all over to explore our city’s charm.
The festival showcases over 80 talented artists from the southeast, featuring a diverse range of arts and crafts. The juried festival featured original, handcrafted works by professional artisans and craftsmen. The juries at the festival are composed of exceptional artists and art professionals. These competitors were recognized and awarded for their originality, creativity, technical skill and aesthetic appeal.
Along with featuring art pieces, it also included various vendors and attractions.
Some of the attractions hosted during the festival include:
- The Elf Corner: A special shop where only kids can shop. Elves will help the kids choose gifts for their friends and family.
- The Festival Trees Shop: 1-4 foot trees completely decorated by local artists.
- Photos with Santa: Kids were able to take photos with Santa and his sleigh.

Cumming started the Christmas Arts and Crafts festival to promote local artisans and craftsmen, foster community spirit and holiday cheer, provide a unique showing experience for residents and visitors and to support the local economic growth.
This festival brings in significant revenue for local businesses, hotels, and restaurants, contributing to the city’s economic growth. Along with that, visitors flock to the city to have a glimpse of the wonderful art, its quaint shops, restaurants, and outdoor spaces, boosting tourism.
