Our school is preparing for our 32nd soccer season and after talking with Coach Brandon Stewart, it’s definitely going to be an amazing one!
While asking about last year’s season, Stewart says, “It was historic” and every coach I asked agreed. They ended last season 18-2 and hosted a playoff game. They finished second in region 6A which is the best record our varsity boys soccer has ever had.
Even after losing some of our best players to Spain, Italy, Iceland and graduation Stewart says, “This year we are on a rebuild.” They hope they can continue this legacy by using their best juniors and seniors to lead us in the right direction.
The notable seniors for this year mentioned by Stewart are Brody Surguy, Austin Chavarria and Gavin Williamson. As for our juniors Fisher Bramlett, Lucas Ricker and Kai Harrell are our notable players and will also help to continue building the team for the 2026 season.
Stewart says it’s crucial to keep the foundation of last season, and as long as they keep working hard, their chances of making the playoffs will continue to grow.
As the region becomes tougher with new additions such as Alpharetta High School and North Atlanta High School, the Raiders’ primary goal is to make it to the playoffs and continue the amazing progress from last season.
The first game of this season will be a non-conference match vs. Dawson County on our home field on Feb 11 at 7:30 pm. Even though it’s not a region-based game, come out and show some support!
The schedule will continue to build as the season moves forward, the schedule is shown on Maxpreps. Hopefully, we have tons of Raiders there!
