On Saturday April 22nd, the North Forsyth varsity baseball team beat the Roswell Hornets to move them into a sweet sixteen spot in the 6A GHSA playoffs. The team has worked hard all season with focuses on team communication to secure their well deserved position in the playoffs.
In a double header the boys won both of their games against Roswell, successfully knocking them out of the playoffs. The team won the first game 3-0 and the second game 4-2. Both games took place on the Raider Baseball field.
The Roswell Hornets now have a 16-15 record while the North Forsyth Raiders have a 22-10 record. The next game of the playoffs is unknown as the Thomas County Central yellow jackets will play the St. Pius X Catholic Golden Lions, and then the Raiders will play against the winner of that game. Winning their sweet sixteen game will push the Raiders to the elite eight position.
