Culture is not just where one lives, what school one goes too, or who one praises. There are also little things like one’s hair that often gets left out of the mix. We cannot just throw our hair up into a pony tail or “messy” bun. The majority of us requiring a combination time, patience, hair products, combs and a silk bonnet to use on a daily bases with our hair. People look at us with strange faces when we wear our natural hair, but then we get scolded when we put wigs on or weaves in. We should be comfortable in whatever we decide to do with our hair and our body, it is our choice after all.
