The Accident

Loren’s eyes slowly opened. Her vision was blurry for a moment before everything came into focus.

“Wh…where am I,” she questioned.

She lifted her arms in front of her eyes and saw an IV stuck in her arm. Her face scrunched into a ball in confusion. The last thing she remembered was driving on a crowded road. As she came into realization on what really happened, she quickly ripped the IV off of her and fell onto the floor.

“Where is Sofia?” she kept repeating to herself as she made her way to the door.

Before her hand reached the knob, the door flew open almost hitting her straight in the face. A nurse walked in, holding a bag of fluids. Her eyes widened at the sight of Loren.

“When did you…when did you wake up?” she stumbled over her words.

“Where is Sofia?” she paused, “Where is my sister?!”

Loren stood there waiting for an answer.

“I don’t know where your sister is miss, but I need you to…” she started but got cut off by Loren.

“What do you mean you don’t know where my sister is, she was in the crash that got me here,” Loren interrogated.

Loren brushed her hand through her hair as she paced around the room.

“When did you think the crash happened?” The Nurse questioned.

“I don’t know a few hours ago?”

She stopped pacing and looked at the nurse with a look of confusion.

“You…you got into the crash a year ago,” she responded.

Loren stared straight into the nurses eyes.

“Well…I’m gonna wake up now,” she stated, Getting back in the bed.
