History seems to repeat itself.
Every day, there’s something new.
A project due one day, a test due another.
Every day, you’re given a new excuse to embarrass yourself.
Yet time keeps moving forward.
Day after day, mistake after mistake.
Time continues going, lugging you along with it.
Almost as if you’re stuck in an eternal time loop of humiliation.
Sometimes slower, sometimes faster.
Though never fast enough.
You wake up, you work, you go to bed.
Day after day.
You feel a boulder around your feet, preventing you from flying.
Although you’ll never know what you’re trying to fly to.
Perhaps a break in the cycle,
Perhaps something more.
Yet, you know deep down that you’ll never reach it.
Not unless time stops in its tracks,
And lets you leave without it.
