“Harmony within our walls.” Wrong. The Ewingtopia regime is controlling, manipulative, and a violation of our rights as North Forsyth citizens.
The rules are an absurd way to exert power over innocent teenagers who don’t know any better. They range from simple things such as wearing a backpack properly to having to greet Overlord Ewing with,.”I am eager to learn today!” She is even controlling our speech! She’s manipulating us into thinking that these “rules” are to benefit us.
Breaking a rule results in an infraction, which is a deduction from our grades. An anonymous comrade reports, “It’s unfair that the rules determine our grades.” Our grades are suffering. Our futures are suffering. We are suffering.
Each morning, like clockwork, we listen to the Anthem as it spews vile lies to brainwash us into thinking we are happy. After, we are required to complete the handshake, or we will be infracted.
Then, Overlord Ewing displays the fallen for everyone to see. The menacing music echoes throughout the room as we can do nothing but lament for our comrades. Only then can we continue with the day, forced to mourn the loss of our friends and loved ones.
Perhaps it would be a relief if we could leave Ewingtopia knowing that we are safe. But no, Overlord Ewing’s rigid expectations follow us everywhere. We must look over our shoulders and watch our backs; anyone could be a Thought Police.
The Thought Police are Overlord Ewing’s villainous minions that report to her every night with infractions. Any violation of the rules they notice, whether inside Ewingtopia or not, they can report straight to her and we will be punished.
The Thought Police have always had the ability to report comrades, but recently the rules have changed. Now, anyone can traitorously report an infraction. Your best friend, your girlfriend, anyone. Not only are we forced to be wary of the Thought Police, but now each other too.
In a way, Overlord Ewing’s authoritarian rule has brought us together. We all have something in common: fear of the Thought Police. Now, it’s every person for themselves.
Several comrades have reported that Ewingtopia is too difficult to endure. Interviewed comrades have also reported that the Ewingtopia regime is oppressive.
Overlord Ewing pretends that nothing is wrong, but she doesn’t hear the whispers. She doesn’t witness the notes passed and secret meetings.
We must unite against her oppressive rule. Listen to the whispers. Pass the notes. Attend the meetings. Our futures are on the line, and we are the only people who can end this tyrannical reign.
Say “Ew” to Ewing and join the resistance.
