Beattie and Rayanne have decided to try our own one-of-a-kind flavor of Puppy Chow. Mixing the original recipe with our own twist, we hope to create an exquisite Puppy Chow recipe that will leave everyone wanting more.
For the ingredients we have:
• 1 cup of chocolate chips
• 1 cup of All Natural Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter
• ½ cup of margarine
• 7 ½ cups of Rice Chex cereal
• Powdered Sugar
• Dark Chocolate covered pomegranates
People normally think that making Puppy Chow requires just throwing ingredients together; however, that is not the case. One has to be very precise when making Puppy Chow, for example, it should not be too sticky, but enough to hold together the ingredients.
1. The first step in making this delicious Puppy Chow is to melt the chocolate chips, dark chocolate peanut butter, and margarine together in a pot and put it on low heat. Since the heat is on low, the chocolate chips shouldn’t burn on the bottom of the pot. Then, mix those three ingredients together while it is in the process of melting.
2. Next, get a medium sized bowl and pour the Rice Chex cereal into the bowl. Pour the chocolate mixture into the bowl and mix it very well. Make sure to have all of the Chex cereal fully coated with the melted chocolate. Allow the cereal to then cool for at least 3-5 minutes.
3. Add powdered sugar into the bowl and shake well. All of the cereal doesn’t have to coated white, but just enough to get that sugary touch. One can add as much powdered sugar as needed. Once this is accomplished, mix in the dark chocolate covered pomegranates evenly into the mixture if desired.
Now that the puppy chow is made, the whole family and friends too can enjoy the scrumptious flavor of this easy dessert. Be careful to not get too addicted!
