Beat the Heat
School is coming to an end, not only for us, but for the seniors too. They are going to graduate and some are going off to college. Summer is near, and the heat is right there with it. The pools are starting to open, and that is one awesome way to beat the summer heat. Going to the lake is another great way to beat the heat. Ah, but the main way people beat the heat is a vacation. Yes, a vacation the most wonderful thing in the world, but also one of the deadliest. If you plan on going on a beach vacation, look at what exbound flag it is and watch for under toes. Under toes are strong currents on the sea floor. More people get dragged out by under toes every year not knowing they are being sucked out to sea. The only way to escape a under toe is to swim to the right or left, not straight down. Most think they are strong swimmers but not even an Olympic swimmer can swim straight back to the beach from an under toe. More people get swept to sea either by fighting the under toe, or falling asleep on their plastic tubes. Listen to the life guards they just want to help you, which is their job. Do not argue with them they just want to make sure everybody is safe. If you know you have trouble swimming don’t be afraid to sit out for the day and go enjoy the pool. For example when I went fishing we fount a float way off shore but luckily nobody was on it. The caption we had said he had rescued many people that fall asleep and drift out. So do not fall asleep, if you feel tired go back to your room and take a nap just to be on the safe side. So be safe, follow theses rules because maybe one day they will just save your life.
