March 25, 2015
No surprise that the name Dylan Gardner is probably familiar; he is a YouTube sensation. He went viral with a cover of the Beatles “Abbey Road” that he constructed in 15-second increments. Since then, Gardner has hit many musical milestones, getting his singing career off to a great start. In 2013, he signed with Big Deal Music Publishing, and recorded his debut album, “Adventures in Real Time,” with ten completely original songs with the help of co-producer John Dragonetti. Since then his career has been a huge success.
Within the next couple of years, Gardner is expected to be a huge success. His music style is a creative mixture between Pop, R&B, and Rock and Roll. The way that Gardner presents his music will leave you reminiscing the Beatles, and enjoying the new Pop culture.
His debut album, “Adventures in Real Time,” feels like a refreshing update of the Beatles’ theme. Every song has even flow of rhythm and theme throughout the album, and the songs have great meaning and structure. One song in particular opened the door to the entire album: “Too Afraid to Love You” speaks of how Gardner is fearful of being hurt, because he was betrayed in many of his past relationships. It is a very earnest song, describing how he knew that he was going to get hurt by this girl, and he did. It was easy to tell that the song came from the depths of his heart, and he truly meant what he was singing. The listener could feel the emotions flowing within every part of the song.
