Masterpiece

You wanted so badly to be marveled at
You sketched on your skin
You painted your hands
And you asked me to put them on display
You worked so hard to be a piece of art
You flooded your veins with watercolors
You put yourself into a frame
And hung it on the wall
You were a masterpiece
A strong piece of canvas wrapped around thin wood
You were crisp and bright and new
But you wanted more
More than I could give you
More than anyone could
You wanted to move on
You hung yourself on the wall
And then you left
