In January 11th’s exciting  championship game between the Clemson Tigers and The Alabama Crimson Tide in Glendale, Arizona, the Tigers went in knowing they had to play a near perfect game to have any hope against Alabama. Due to the Crimson Tide’s astounding track record in Championship games, the Alabama offensive knew exactly how to play against the Tigers.

Alabama took an early lead in taking the game’s first touchdown, but Clemson’s offense retaliated and took a lead of their own and made a dominant position for themselves for a while. The game remained competitive throughout the first half with Clemson holding their lead thanks to Gainesville quarterback, DeShaun Watson, whose mobile attack kept The Tide on their toes.

But as the 4th quarter began with Clemson leading 24-21, Alabama used an onside kick to get the ball back. This play resulted in a crucial touchdown for The Crimson Tide. With this, Alabama led the game up until the end, finishing off and beating out the Tigers 45-40. The effort and determination by both teams created one of the best games of the season, and both sides clearly gave it their all.

Alabama adds to this National Championship to its long list of titles, including football championship wins as recent as 2012, 2011, and 2009.
