Alan Rickman Passes at 69

On January 14th, 2016, one of the most well known characters, from the Harry Potter saga, Professor Severus Snape, played by Alan Rickman, died as a result of a deadly tumor. It has been rumored that he battled cancer before death. At 69, Rickman, unfortunately, was defeated.
Rickman, a London native, had been working for a Shakespeare Company and television program in the UK before he arrived in Hollywood. Within the first two days he earned his first role in a movie, Die Hard. He was not excited to be playing a role in an action movie, but with a small number of adjustments, he was more satisfied. After staring in Die Hard, Rickman’s acting career took a successful turn.
Within the Harry Potter saga, Rickman was widely known as Professor Severus Snape, present during all eight movies. Rickman demonstrated to his co-workers the true man behind the scenes. He was a great man; many of his friends described him as kind, funny, and a man with great talent. It had been said that Rickman had a clue all along of the end of the Harry Potter saga. With the clue in mind, Rickman played the role developing the character of Professor Snape. Not only had he stared in the Harry Potter saga, but Rickman also played a role in at least 45 movies from 1988 to 2016.
