A Child’s Greatest Fear

Everyone has passed through the fear of the darkness. Every child will go through it. There is nothing to do, but to try and help them forget their fear.

I don’t like when the room goes dark,

Neither does Teddy.

Everywhere I look

I see eyes looking at me.

I cover my eyes so I don’t have to see them,

But I can still feel them.

I can still hear them.

They scare me.

I hide under my blanket,

But they still don’t go away.

When will they go away?

I scream as hard as I can so mommy can come,

But even when she turns, comes, and looks they still don’t leave.

Will they ever go away?
