Justin Mohn, 32-year-old, was accused of murdering his father by decapitation on Jan. 31 at 4 a.m in Levittown, PA. He’s being charged with first-degree murder and the abuse of his father’s corpse. Mohn was arrested at 9:30 p.m. according to ABC Action News. He was found 100 miles from the scene of the crime, near Fort Indiantown, where he was brought into custody.
Michael Mohn, Justin’s father, was 63-years-old. He was found by his wife, Denice Mohn, who arrived home in Middletown Township around 7 p.m. to find her white Toyota and her son missing. She found her husband in the bathroom, along with a machete and bloodied gloves. Authorities claim they found the father’s severed head stuck in a plastic bag in one of the bedrooms in the home. ABC News says Mohn’s hearing is scheduled for Feb. 8, and it’s currently unclear whether or not he has a lawyer.
Before fleeing his house, Mohn would post a video on his YouTube account encouraging people to commit violent acts such as assassinating family members and killing public officers. He’d also show off his father’s decapitated head, saying he was now in hell for eternity. His video was taken down almost immediately, but that, along with numerous cases involving harassment and threatening people, isn’t helping his case.
A Penn State graduate, Justin Mohn attended the Neshaminy School District and was the author of seven books. He was also a musician who had three albums and a single. The video he had posted was said to be a long rant against the government, calling his father a “traitor to the country” and proceeded to talk negatively about Joe Biden, the US president and other officials. Mohn has had many issues with the law and has sued several people and companies, including the US Department of Education.
Hank Flynn, a Fox 29 reporter, spoke to a police captain about the case, and the captain would say that this case was nothing like he’d ever seen, calling it a “violent nature” and stating it was a heinous act.
