Spiraling Through Life

Danielle Stone, Staff Writer

Every second, minute, hour, day,

Passes by without a second thought

Never regarded until it’s too late

Until youth has slipped away,

And all that remain

Are memories.

Looking back,

There’s only regret,

Missed opportunities

Words left unsaid,

And mistakes never made.

Life passes by far too fast,

And when we think we have enough time,

Before we notice,

It’s gone,

And only then do we appreciate it.

As children,

We take no notice of time,

But as years blur together,

We long for the past

And the blissful ignorance that went with it.
