Any high school student enrolled in Forsyth County from grade who did not pass his or her math course during the school year must retake the school year. They are recommended to do so by attending the Forsyth County Summer Math Academy. Many benefits come from signing up for the program such as, receiving the grade achieved on your transcript and avoiding a retake of your math course next school year (with students in a lower grade). The program will be held Monday, June 1 – Thursday, June 25 from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Otwell Middle School, which is located at 605 Tribble Gap Road in Cumming, GA. Daily attendance is mandatory, and students will be required to provide their own transportation. The fee required to participate in the Summer Math Academy is $300, and every class will hold an average of 18 students. Any additional information for the Summer Math Academy can be found by visiting http://www.forsyth.k12.ga.us/nfhs or by contacting a school counselor.
