We were best friends. It turns out we weren’t forever.

Danielle Stone, Staff Writer

I was once one half of a whole.

We were always in perfect sync.

Never one without the other,

Every move was made together,

But our time finally ran out.

We were viewed as one being

Because we were so close.

Everyone knew us as together,

But we had to say goodbye.

I wish I could’ve lingered a little longer,

But my other half had to go.

It doesn’t seem quite right

That our final day has passed.

I bid a final farewell.

All the stories are unfolding.

All the memories made in vain.

Life couldn’t stand

Two perfect pieces together.

We weren’t meant to be forever.
