How boring it would be 

To live in a society 

Where people are afraid to be who they want to be.

Like sheep, they are herded into one category,

Following the first trend they see.

Afraid of showing their true identity, 

They hide behind their insecurities

Until the mask begins to crumble.

When will they see

That they don’t need to blend in with society? 

The opinions of others shouldn’t dictate the clothes they wear 

Or the music they listen to.

Stay true to oneself

Embrace weirdness

Let freak flags fly

Because in the end,

One’s opinion of oneself is all that qualifies.
