Georgia versus Texas, with a throne to claim

For the Dawgs to win, we would pray

The Battle of the Southeast is underway

Both teams started slow

A whole quarter until the Dawgs started to flow

Our ground game was elite

Anchored by Trevor’s quick feet

The early lead was a promising sight

Up 23 at the half, it seemed like our night

Out of the locker room, Texas began performing

After 15 straight points, they seemed to be storming

But the Dawgs defense played with great pride

A win in Austin, they would not be denied

Late in the game, the Longhorns couldn’t find a groove

The offense just wouldn’t improve

After the final whistle, the Dawgs were on top

Texas’ run had finally been stopped

The number one team in the land just went down

The Dawgs defense gave them the crown

Last time these teams met, the Dawgs looked sick

But this time around, they played amazingly slick

Everyone wrote them off, and said they would lose

To listen to the doubters, Georgia would refuse
