Halloween Is the Best Holiday

There are so many holidays to celebrate in the USA every year such as Christmas, Thanksgiving, Halloween, and so many more, so, which one is the best? Whether it’s watching movies, hanging out with friends, or just eating candy, Halloween is number one.

Kids and teens can go around their neighborhoods gathering candy at each house which can last for months. This not only saves parents money (because they can now just steal it from their kids), but it also saves money for the working teens that want something sweet.

Even for people who don’t Trick-or-Treat, this is the best time of year to buy candy. When Halloween is around the corner, companies like Hershey’s, Mars, and Nestlé start making huge bags of candy that they don’t sell any other time of the year. Also, right after the holiday is over, the candy usually goes on sale for 50 percent off. Because of this, people are able to get bags of 100 or more pieces for the same price as five Hershey’s bars at the register.

Trick-or-treating is a huge part of Halloween. People are able to dress up as their favorite characters and enjoy haunted houses and decorations. People put out decorations like pumpkins, ghosts, and spiderwebs. What happens at each house is much more unexpected than the ones decorated for Christmas. How will houses try to frighten others and what will happen at each one? This encourages creativity and gives people an incentive to exercise before they consume large amounts of sugar on Halloween.

Halloween is a great time to hang out with friends and make memories. A lot of other holidays are reserved for just family, but Halloween is different. Teens get to enjoy this holiday together and that’s what makes this holiday so great. Yes, people get candy, watch movies, dress up, and more, but none of it is really great without the people who make the day memorable.
