People normally think that making Puppy Chow requires just throwing ingredients together; however, that is not the case. One has to be very precise when making Puppy Chow, for example, it should not be too sticky, but enough to hold together the ingredients.

1. The first step in making this delicious Puppy Chow is to melt the chocolate chips, dark chocolate peanut butter, and margarine together in a pot and put it on low heat. Since the heat is on low, the chocolate chips shouldn’t burn on the bottom of the pot. Then, mix those three ingredients together while it is in the process of melting.
2. Next, get a medium sized bowl and pour the Rice Chex cereal into the bowl. Pour the chocolate mixture into the bowl and mix it very well. Make sure to have all of the Chex cereal fully coated with the melted chocolate. Allow the cereal to then cool for at least 3-5 minutes.

3. Add powdered sugar into the bowl and shake well. All of the cereal doesn’t have to coated white, but just enough to get that sugary touch. One can add as much powdered sugar as needed. Once this is accomplished, mix in the dark chocolate covered pomegranates evenly into the mixture if desired.
